In 1999, at Sun Yun-Sheng's old age and worsening health, Autumn Landscape was completed with dense splashed colours to represent dense vegetation on the cliff. The middle ground was depicted with overlapping hills. Dry and wet areas hint on the movements of the brush. Humid environment was depicted vividly. Despite his old age, Sun Yun-Sheng completed this work with an ancient aura and a delicate depiction of houses, to enhance the vividness of the landscape.
