Ya Ming, a native of Hefei, Anhui, was a leading initiator of the New Jinling School of Painting. He served as Vice President of the Jiangsu Chinese Painting Academy and the Jiangsu Provincial Chinese Painting Academy, Chief Editor of the Chinese painting section of Wen Wei Po (Hong Kong), and Professor at the Art Research Center of Nanjing University. His works are widely published.
