FAN Jun-yi 方濬頤

FAN Jun-yi, a native of Dingyuan in Anhui, courtesy name Zizhen and style name Mengyuan, had a studio called Baomi Studio. He obtained the jinshi degree in 1844. During his official career, he served as Salt Transport Commissioner for Liangguang and Lianghuai, and was later promoted to Surveillance Commissioner of Sichuan. In his later years he withdrew from official life and went to Yangzhou, where he established the Huainan Publishing House, gathering scholars from various regions to collate and publish numerous classical texts. Fang also possessed a rich collection of paintings and calligraphy and was highly skilled in connoisseurship, enjoying considerable reputation in his time
