Born in Taichung, Taiwan, in 1988, Tzu-Ching Chang received her BFA from the Department of Fine Arts at Tunghai University in 2013 and her MFA from the Department of Fine Arts at National Changhua University of Education in 2018. From 2016 to 2017, she served as an artist-in-residence at CMP Creative Lab in Taichung. She currently lives and works in Taichung.

Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, Chang is known for her use of saturated colours, vivid contrasts, and abstract compositions. She transforms personal emotions, lived experiences, and inner perceptions into dynamic visual expressions. Closely intertwined with different stages of her life, her recent practice employs layered colour, texture, and abstract forms to explore memory, emotion, and the interplay between dreams and reality.

Selected solo exhibitions include Poetry (2014) and 259 Sprouting (2016) at Yong Chun Tang Art Museum, Taichung; Still Waters (2017) at isart Gallery, Kaohsiung; Ten Years (2021) at isart Gallery, Taipei and Kaohsiung; Compositions of Texture and Colour (2022); and The Garden in My Dreams (2025) at isart Gallery, Taipei. Recent international exhibitions include We Have a Dream with Art in Seoul, South Korea, in 2024, and an exhibition at ONE FUKUOKA BLDG, Fukuoka, Japan, in 2025.

Her works have been exhibited in Taiwan, the United States, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China, and are held in the collections of Art Bank Taiwan, Fong-Yi Art Museum, as well as other institutional and private collections.
