Yasuhito Kawasaki 川崎泰史
Japanese 1983
Yasuhito Kawasaki was born in Saga, Japan in 1983. He earned his Master's degree in Casting from Kanazawa College of Art in 2010. Kawasaki was originally renowned for his fiberglass sculptures, but his creative style took on a new dimension when he encountered his wife, ceramic artist Tomoko Kawasaki. Together, they ventured into the realm of ceramic sculpture. Kawasaki firmly believes that each person exists in parallel worlds, where different outcomes of events and decisions exist in separate parallel universes. His sculptures and artworks explore the spaces between reality and fantasy, aiming to allow people to rediscover their childhood in this diverse world of parallel universes, entering a romantic and childlike realm where anything is possible. Kawasaki's works often feature an innocent childlike figure, representing a return to the pure inner self, conveying the artist's inner contentment and joy. This artist has held solo exhibitions in various locations, including the United States, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
